Sacred Canyons Loop

Take a Sacred Walk Along One of the Most Scenic Loops in Sedona

Are you interested in learning about the sacred history of Sedona and it's ancient peoples? This outing will take you on an immersive hike along Long Canyon, Deadman's Pass, and Mescal Trail. The adventure will circle Mescal Mountain and pass along two of the most sacred canyons in Sedona. Views along the way will include cliff dwellings, Wilson Mountain, Maroon Mountain, Sacred Kachina Woman Spire, Doe Mountain, Bear Mountain, and Capital Butte.

The highlight of this adventure occurs as you reach the awe-inspiring center of the Mescal Amphitheater. Where the roof of Mescal Mountain, reaches over the trail to form a spectacular red rock alcove, and resembles a colossal red rock tidal wave. The area provides exceptional elevated views, a plethora of desert creature sightings, and some of the best solitude in Red Rock Country.

Our guides will bring binoculars to allow you to see the ancient architecture of the Sinagua People and learn about their impressive survival methods, medicinal plants, and unique cliffside desert lifestyles. Taking a loop on this hike, allows you to maximize your experience by never seeing the same things twice and the difficulty is manageable by all.

This outing allows for great family photo opportunities, an engaging learning experience, child-safe hiking, and elevated perspectives without the physical challenge.
