Following the completion of your volunteering, we will ask for you to submit a provided "Litter Counting Worksheet." This important document allows us to compile a detailed inventory of everything we find, it's proximity to the creek, and additional field notes of importance. This data is going to be compiled in reports, and then shared with the USFS and local non-profit to help us learn about which areas in Oak Creek Canyon, Wet Beaver Creek, and Verde River need the most help. This information will be offered in helping discuss enhanced parking & signage in Oak Creek Canyon, new receptacle locations in areas of need, and increased supervision of areas with the highest frequency of littering and land abuse.
We highly recommend supporting the following non-profits who share our desire to keep Sedona safe and beautiful for generations to come: Friends of the Forest, Friends of the Verde River, Oak Creek Watershed Council, Keep Sedona Beautiful, Red Rock Trail Fund
