Guide to provide resort pick-up and transportation during outing
Are you seeking an exciting hiking adventure with elevated panoramic views, and the opportunity to stand on top of Sedona's most monumental rocks? Our Edges & Ledges Loop connects all the dots, as it brings you across one of the largest deposits of sandstone in Sedona. All the while, taking an improbable and adventurous scenic loop on narrow trails high above: Oak Creek Canyon, Bear Wallow Canyon, and the majestic Mitten Ridge.
Along the hike, you will pass the locally revered Cowpies Trail, a site formerly used for country western films and spiritual gatherings for drum circles & ceremonies. The dramatic mix of geological formations and unique views along this adventure, will allow you to see nearly every rock in Sedona from just one hike. Meanwhile, ensuring you take the best elevated photos in town along the way!! The trails narrowness and manageable exposure spices up this "moderate-to-hard" adventure, as hikers are at times encouraged to go "on all fours" while descending steep declines and navigating the trails more attenuated passages.
If you suffer from vertigo, or are afraid of heights, this might not be the right hike for you... However, if you would like to safely work on building your comfort in these situations; our guides are the people to call on for ensuring a safe and immersive experience, while you push your limits. The north side of The Hangover Trail, offers some of the finest elevated views in Sedona of Wilson Mountain, Brins Mesa, Steamboat Rock, Oak Creek Canyon, Morning Glory, and Capitol Butte. The solitude in this area is unmatched, while the trails used along this hike, will literally take your vacation to another level.
Don't be just another humble visitor, getting bounced around on a bright colored jeep, dreaming about what it would be like to actually stand on that impressive sandstone formation you see from so far away.... Let us show you the way, while you see what you're capable of accomplishing in creating a hiking adventure you will never forget!!
